Hello from Lake Nona!
Well, we tried our best but lost our last match today which took us out of 1st place for our flight.
We lost to USTA Southwest (Arizona), and our opponents won’t win any sportsmanship awards, but after a nice dinner at a local restaurant, we are ready to head home totally satisfied that we had beaten the team that won our flight yesterday, USTA Eastern (New York).
We gave it our all, and most importantly, we totally enjoyed the journey.
For many of my players, the chance to compete at nationals completed a check-off on their bucket list, so Team Florida has no regrets or complaints.
We will head home to Naples tomorrow with many wonderful memories and photos! Check out our new sport! Skiing!
