With a shared mission to enhance the lives of children in Central Florida, USTA Florida is proud to be a sponsor of the 2021 Bea for Kids Champions Challenge presented by Raymond James, to be held December 4-5 at Heathrow Racquet Club in Heathrow, Fla. The event will feature current and former tennis champions James Blake, Bob Bryan, Tommy Haas, Sam Querrey and Marcos Baghdatis.

The two-day event will benefit local charities aimed at making a difference in the lives of children. 2021 beneficiaries include:

  • Nemours Children’s Health – Serving over 1.2 million children across 80 different facilities as the largest pediatric health system in North America, Nemours is focused on creating a new definition of children’s health and the healthiest generation of children in American history.

“We’re ecstatic to partner with Bea for Kids, an incredible organization that aims to help Central Florida children with medically complex conditions by supporting organizations that specialize in children’s health, mental health and their quality of life,” said USTA Florida Executive Director Laura Bowen. “It’s a match made in heaven with our USTA Florida Foundation and its mission to ‘Change Lives Through Tennis.’”

Current and former greats of the ATP World Tour will meet on the court at Heathrow Racquet Club on both days of the event to display their finesse with the goal of advancing to the championship match. Other event offerings include Play with the Pro opportunities, backstage experiences to meet the players, an adaptive tennis clinic and evening dinner receptions at the close of each day.

Attendance isn’t necessary to support the 2021 Bea for Kids Champions Challenge or Central Florida children – a silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind tennis art, themed gift baskets and experiences such as a full 2022 Delray Beach Open package are available for bidding throughout the weekend. The silent auction will close Sunday evening at the USTA Florida event reception and winners will be notified.

We owe a huge thanks to the local W.A.I.T. Teams, the Heathrow Racquet Club, Massey Services, Lucky in Love, and all of the fantastic sponsors and partners, who have come together to make this event happen.  There is so much love for tennis in Central Florida, and we are proud to be a small part of it,” Bowen said.
