During the past four months, USTA Florida has worked to develop a user-friendly mobile application with an easy-to-use interface. The design and features have been significantly improved from the previous app version, with the overall goal of being cleaner and more convenient for providers, players and fans.
Stay Informed
The new app, available for your smartphone or tablet, offers the Florida tennis community the opportunity to stay connected and informed. Stay up to date with the latest articles or check out the newest episode of the Here to Serve podcast series – all easily accessible while on the go right through the app.
Looking for some tips to stay on top of your game? Head to the app’s Tennis Tips section to view videos on stance, technique, and shots provided by USTA Florida’s tennis teaching professionals, or learn how to find the perfect tennis racquet with the Choosing a Racquet video series.
Places to Play
Want to know where you can play tennis in your neighborhood? Out of town and trying to find a local facility where you can hit a few balls? The app’s Places to Play section uses your device’s location to find your proximity to nearby parks and facilities, either in a list or on a map. There you can choose a facility and gain access to business information such as a phone number, website, and address.
Featured Events
Navigate to the Featured Events calendar to view a list of all community events, tournaments, and League Sectional Championships. Each event listing includes the location, dates, registration details, and any other important related information.
Volunteer Opportunities & Information
Interested in getting involved with USTA Florida? The Volunteer Opportunities section of the app offers information about how to volunteer with the organization. Join the Volunteer Aces and get connected to opportunities to serve your community and the game of tennis, regardless of your tennis experience or skill level. This section will also list all events with volunteer opportunities, so you can easily have all that information at your fingertips.
Provider Resources
Take resources anywhere! Tennis providers of all types can find the tools they need to succeed in the providers section of the USTA Florida app. This section serves as a hub of information for all different types of providers – school teachers, tournament directors, tennis teaching professionals, etc. – and offers access to a wealth of continually updated information, training and necessary assets to help maintain and improve your programs and customer service.
Here you can find marketing tips, event promotion guidance, a continued education calendar of any upcoming education classes, and a link to request volunteers for any upcoming events. A direct link to USTA Florida’s safe play signage templates is readily available under this section, where providers can download the signage necessary to help communicate and promote a safe play environment or all. Links are also available to other organizations that are helpful for providers, such as the United States Professional Tennis Association and the Professional Tennis Registry.
