Tennis Blog Day 1: Tampa Women’s Team at USTA League Nationals in Arizona

Hello from Arizona! Just a quick introduction…We are the 3.0 18 and Over team from Fishhawk Ranch!

Yesterday we left our husbands (and grandparents) in charge back in Lithia, Fla., and made our way to Arizona! Right after sectionals we decided it was a MUST for our whole team to be on the same flight to head west! All dressed in our red team shirts that our awesome teammates Wendy and Tabetha had made for us, we took the airport by storm!

With 14 women, countless suitcases and more racquets than Serena Williams, we boarded the plane! The excitement got the best of us and noise level scared our flight attendant half to death! We assured her we were just excited and we would settle in for the 4.5 hour flight!

We checked into the hotel and went straight to bed — what a long day of travel! The three-hour time difference definitely didn’t help!

This morning, we were bright eyed and bushy tailed, and had a delicious continental breakfast at our hotel! We ran to the grocery store to grab our necessities and headed over to the courts for practice!

Glad we were able to get out there and hit a few because the dry air is quite a change from the Tampa humidity! We are headed to dinner now so we can get a nice and early bedtime and be ready for our first match in the morning! See you at the courts! #BelieveIT
