Six Teams Earn National Berths at Tri-Level and Mixed Sectional Championships
USTA Florida brought the excitement of Tri-Level and Mixed competition to the USTA National Campus for another unforgettable Sectional Championship. Players from across the state gathered for a weekend filled with high-level tennis, camaraderie, and thrilling matches.
The championship showcased the incredible talent and diversity of USTA Florida’s tennis community, with participants competing in Tri-Level and Mixed 55 & Over divisions.
Tri-Level League offers a unique format, allowing players of varying NTRP levels to join forces on doubles teams. This distinctive setup encourages teamwork and strategy, as players work together to secure victories. The winners of the Tri-Level divisions earned the opportunity to compete in the 2024 USTA League Tom Fey Tri-Level National Invitational, set to take place March 6-10, 2025, at the Barnes Tennis Center and Balboa Tennis Club in San Diego, California.
The event also featured intense competition in the Mixed 55 & Over division, where teams comprised of one man and one woman combined their NTRP ratings to create competitive pairs. The format brings a dynamic element to the matches, with players leveraging complementary skillsets to dominate the court. Winning teams received an automatic bid to the 2024 Mixed 55 & Over National Invitational, scheduled for March 14-16, 2025, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Whether on the court or cheering from the sidelines, the energy and passion of the players and supporters created an electric atmosphere throughout the weekend. Congratulations to all the champions who represented their counties and earned their spots on the national stage.
