Remembering USTA Florida Volunteer Ronald Treaseh

USTA Florida is saddened by the recent passing of long-time tennis volunteer, Ronald Treaseh.  

Born on April 21, 1945, Treaseh began volunteering for USTA Florida in 2006 when he was 61. For 16 years he was the local volunteer in Lee County and was the treasurer for the Lee County Community Tennis Association.

Ron was an USTA Florida volunteer for 16 years.

He also served on various committees. These included Grant Review (2006 – 2022), Budget & Finance, Community Outreach Committee, Community Tennis Council, Diversity Committee (Chair), and Investment and Finance. 

In 2009, USTA Florida recognized Treaseh for his dedication to community tennis and named him the Volunteer of the Month.  

On June 30, 2022, Ronald Treaseh passed away at the age of 77. However, the legacy he left behind will be remembered for years to come.  

Memorial Donations can be sent to Lee County Community Tennis Association (LCCTA) at PO Box 07118, Fort Myers, FL 33919. Ron was very proud of the Association’s work, and he served as their treasurer for over 15 years. Donations can be designated for the junior scholarship program or the adult wheelchair program.
