More than 150 Young Athletes Compete at JTT Spring State Championships

The Junior Team Tennis Spring State Championships in Florida is a premier event that showcases the talent and enthusiasm of young tennis players from across the state. This championship brings together the best junior teams to compete in a spirited and supportive environment, fostering both competitiveness and a love for the game. 

This year’s JTT Spring State Championships took place at the Hunter’s Green Tennis Country Club, in Tampa. The event drew teams from all corners of Florida, representing various clubs of many different backgrounds. More than 150 young athletes, making up 26 teams, represented what JTT is all about, showcasing sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the competition. 

In the 14U Yellow Ball division, Elite Tennis came out strong on the weekend, showcasing their resilience. Despite finishing in second place, the Yacht Stars were playing great tennis, and the team displayed their heart and love for the game. 

In the 12U Yellow Ball division, the Sharks clinched the title with an spectacular display of power and precision. The Neighborhood Tennis squad came in second, but persevered all season long, playing some great tennis. 

Finally, in the 12U Green Ball, Neighborhood Tennis came out victorious after a great season. Aces in your Faces finished in second place for this division after an impressive showing. 

Beyond the competition, the JTT Spring State Championships also provided valuable opportunities for players to engage with their peers, learn from experienced coaches, and enjoy the camaraderie that JTT encourages. 

The JTT Spring State Championships continue to be a cornerstone event in Florida’s junior tennis calendar, offering young athletes a platform to shine and grow. JTT teaches players that tennis is beyond an individual sport and having teammates to support you is also important to success.
