This March, we’ll be launching new Here To Serve episodes covering topics from the USTA Florida Foundation to adaptive tennis to Sportsmanship! Mark your calendars and be sure to tune in to each episode detailed below!
The Here to Serve series aims to keep the Florida tennis community updated about the organization’s return to play. Each episode includes a question and answer session with USTA Florida program directors or other leaders in the local tennis community about what is being done to re-imagine programs and play.

Mar. 3rd — USTA Florida Foundation Focus
The USTA Florida Foundation has new support opportunities available now for grassroots tennis programs. Tune in to hear about the grant application window and a brand-new opportunity to support under-served youth athletes across the state thanks to a new partnership with EleVen by Venus.
Mar. 17th — Adaptive Programs
Growing Adaptive Tennis is one of USTA Florida’s major priorities. William Speed, Coordinator of Adaptive Tennis, and Danielle Gooding, Director of Community Tennis, discuss their team’s efforts in bringing adaptive tennis to different communities in Florida.
Mar. 31st — Sportsmanship Topic
The intent of this episode is to educate players, parents and coaches on the current environment at USTA Florida’s competitive events, why sportsmanship continues to be a priority, (especially in the climate we are living in) solutions on how we can improve sportsmanship, and what are the consequences for all of us if players and parents don’t adapt good sportsmanship habits.
BONUS — League Reg Changes and National/Section Champs
We’ll review the USTA National regulations changes for 2021. With the recent release of the 2021 National and Sectional League Championship calendars, we will share other USTA Florida Sectional news about potential Sectional format changes, and new divisions of play!
