Delray Beach’s Mandlik, Daughter of Hana Mandlikova, Wins ITF $15K Pro Title

Floridian and newly-turned 18-year-old Elli Mandlik won the Master Coop Alleanza 3.0 Tennis Cup, a $15,000 ITF World Tennis Tour event last Sunday, in the final defeating No. 2 seed Oana Simion of Romania 6-0, 6-2 for her second career pro title in Barletta, Italy.

En route to the final the No. 6-seeded Delray Beach resident upset No. 4 seed Kelia Le Bihan of France 7-5, 7-5, and benefited from a walkover from opponent Alexa Noel of the U.S. in the semifinals.

Mandlik is the daughter of 1985 US Open champion and Czech native Hana Mandlikova.

It was Mandlik’s second career title after winning a $15,000 event earlier in the year in Carson, Calif.
