Inaugural Mixed 55 & Over Team Tournament Debuts in November

An inaugural USTA Mixed 55 & Over 7.0/8.0 Adult NTRP National Tournament, open to all comers, will debut on Nov. 2-4, 2018, the Saguaro Slam at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex in Surprise, Ariz.

The team tournament will allow players across the nation to enjoy mixed doubles play against players of similar age and NTRP rating. Each player can play in one NTRP division, and teams will be made up of 6-10 players with a round robin over Friday and Saturday, and then championship play starting on Saturday afternoon and into Sunday.

All teams will play matches Friday through Sunday. Captains must submit a team roster with the names and USTA numbers of their players by Oct. 19. The first 16 teams to sign up in each division will be accepted into the tournament.

All players will receive a tournament t-shirt and player’s reception. Teams that finish 1st-4th place will receive up to 10 awards per team.
