Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration with Free Orlando Family Tennis Festival, JTT Team-Ups

General News Junior Team Tennis Diversity

USTA Florida is having an early kick-off for Hispanic Heritage Month with a free family event at Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando in September.

The event is open to the public, with activities for adults and children of all ages who want to try and learn more about available programs in the area, including Junior Team Tennis and a six-week adult beginner program.

“Come and join us to know more about why tennis is a sport for a lifetime and a great and fun activity for the entire family to participate and play together,” says Director of MG Tennis and Lake Cane Tennis Center Marcelo Gouts.

Lake Cane Tennis Center is a partner facility for USTA Florida’s Hispanic Outreach Initiative “Tenis para Todos” (Tennis for Everyone) since 2013, and continues to provide programs and play opportunities to encourage the participation of the Hispanic community of Orlando in tennis.

As part of the festival there will be games, face painting, a photo booth, food and music. Tennis equipment will be available for use during the event for those who do not own a racquet. The Junior Team Tennis Team-Up will offer information to parents and coaches interested in the program, levels of play, league dates, and will allow kids to play with others of similar levels using the right equipment for their age and ability.
