Fed Cup Community Day, H.S. Girls’ Day Next Week in Tampa Area

The USTA will sponsor two free community events, one for the whole family and one for high school girls’ tennis players, prior to next weekend’s Fed Cup World Group Semifinal match-up between the U.S. and Czech Republic on April 22-23, 2017.

The Fed Cup Community Day will be held on Wednesday, April 19 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, Fla. Players age 5 and up and family members are invited for an on-court experience as locals rally for the U.S. Fed Cup team. Tennis fitness, activities, and team games will be enjoyed by all, along with a special player appearance. Check-in begins at 4:30 p.m.

The day prior on Tuesday, April 18 will be a Fed Cup Girls’ High School Day from 3:30-5 p.m. at East Lake Woodlands Country Club in Oldsmar, Fla. Any Florida high school girls’ player/teams are welcome to join the U.S. Junior Fed Cup Team for an on-court clinic followed by a team discussion. Event check-in will begin at 3 p.m.

Tickets for the 2017 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group semifinal are currently onsale, with single-day and two-day ticket packages. Two-day ticket packages for both Saturday and Sunday play are being sold at reduced prices ranging from $60-$150 ($30 to $75 per day).
