VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
The volunteer coordinator recruits, trains, and helps lead a large group of volunteers who play an integral part in the operational execution of a Billie Jean King Cup United States home tie.
OPERATIONS
- Floater – This volunteer area requires energetic individuals who are comfortable with light to moderate manual labor and taking direction with strong attention to detail. Under the direction of the production coordinators, individuals will perform any number of tasks including but not limited to: hanging signage, ensuring event rooms are set up and maintained properly, assisting with all court needs, filling drink product coolers, general office administration support, running errands and performing other functions as required.
- Credential Office – This volunteer area requires friendly and personable individuals with strong customer service skills and computer proficiency. Under the direction of the credentials coordinator, individuals will organize and issue event credentials and provide general office administration support. For consistency, preference is given to individuals who can work the most days.
- Hospitality – These volunteer areas require friendly and personable individuals with strong customer service skills who are comfortable interacting with VIPs. Individuals will greet VIPs and check them in at the hospitality entrance, answer general questions about the tie and run errands as required.
- Event Ticket Takers – This volunteer area requires friendly and personable individuals with strong customer service skills. Individuals will welcome ticket holders to the venue and scan their tickets. Under the direction of the venue management team, this duty requires precision, attention to detail, and standing for long periods of time.
- Event Ushers – This volunteer area requires friendly and personable individuals with strong customer service skills. Individuals will provide directions to ticket holders trying to locate their seats. Under the direction of the venue staff, these individuals must control access during the matches to ensure proper tennis etiquette. This position requires standing for long periods of time.

** All volunteers will undergo and must clear a background check.
The cost of the background checks is covered by the USTA.
