FLORIDA – 2.03A(5)a Team Eligibility and Entry Fees. Teams participating in Sectional championships must have the minimum number of team members eligible, registered, and available to combine and compete (see below). This requirement cannot be waived. Entry fees will not be refunded to teams that withdraw from any championship after the tournament schedule is first published. The fees for championships, which are assessed per player per team, will be determined administratively and announced in the specific championship information.

Entry Fee: $50.00 per player

- Players registering after Sunday, April 23, 2023, 11:59 pm EST will not receive guaranteed sizing for the player t-shirt or raffle prize entry. No exceptions.

Team Captain Conference Call:
A mandatory Question & Answer conference call will be scheduled for Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 7:00 pm EST. The team captain or team representative must be on the call.
- Captains may email questions prior to the Q&A. A call-in number will be sent in a separate email.

Team Captain Check-In:
All Levels: Saturday, April 29, 2023, after 9:00 am
- Captains will receive their packets and team t-shirts
- Please be on-site at least 45 minutes before your first scheduled match time
General Match & Play Information:
The championship is a three (3) day event.
Facility: USTA National Campus in Lake Nona: 10000 USTA Blvd, Orlando, FL 32827
Tournament Director: Dylan McDonald
Scoring: FL Section Regulation 2.03C(1) – Scoring, Rest, and Suspended Play. All matches played at the USTA Florida Sectional Championships shall be the best of two tiebreak sets with a set tiebreak (using the Coman tiebreak procedure) at 6-all. In the event of split sets, a match tiebreak (using the Coman tiebreak procedure) shall be played in lieu of a third set. No coaching is allowed at any time. If a player plays multiple matches in a day for the same team, they will be entitled to a minimum rest period of one hour between matches.
Championship Format: Please note that the tournament format, number of matches, and scoring format may change due to circumstances beyond our control. Weather conditions could cause delays, modifications, and possible cancellation of the tournament. The indoor courts are not guaranteed to be available to use in the event of inclement weather. (See FL Section regulation 2.03P)
Full Team Default at Championships: FL Section regulation – 2.03K(1)a – All players/captains on a championship team not playing all matches in good faith or defaulting an entire team match shall be suspended from captaining/playing the same Division and Age Group for the next 364 days. (For example, a violation in the Adult 18 & Over Division and Age Group would lead to a suspension from captaining/playing Adult 18 & Over). This includes registered and non-registered players who made a commitment to participate in the Sectional Championship. The Local Play Coordinator will be notified of the suspension. Within 5 days of notification, players may appeal their suspension to the Sectional League Coordinator.
Umpires: There are roving umpires present at all championship sites. Roving umpires may be positioned inside the fenced areas and will interfere with play as little as possible. Players should be encouraged to play tennis without the need for umpires to be present. In the case of disputed calls and upon the request of the player, a roving umpire may be requested to observe a portion of the match
Court Surface(s): Clay
Trainer: There will be a trainer on-site to assist with athletic injuries.
Awards: Winners and Finalists must report to the tournament desk for award distribution and team pictures following their final match. Trophies will not be shipped if the team chooses not to stay.
