Eight singles players and three doubles teams were crowned division winners over the weekend at the 2020 USTA Florida NTRP 18 & Over Championships, held at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.
The qualifying event featured more than 50 men and women competing in singles and doubles in the following divisions – 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0. All draws were played out with the round-robin format. Each match utilized no-ad scoring and was the best-of-three short sets to four games with a tiebreak at 3-3; the tiebreak format was the first to five points with a sudden-death point at 4-4. All singles matches were scheduled on Saturday while the doubles play took place on Sunday.
Qualified winners are now eligible to advance to the 2021 NTRP 18 & Over National Championships next spring to represent USTA Florida. Players must have a 2017, 2018, or 2019 computer-generated NTRP rating to be eligible for advancement.

Women’s 3.5 — 1st place: Kathy Myers (Orlando), 2nd place: Cynthia Curtis (Sanford)
Women’s 4.5 — 1st place: Jessica Fischer (Winter Haven), 2nd place: Jennifer Wysocki (Saint Cloud)
Men’s 3.0 — 1st place: Rene Dipus (Winter Park), 2nd place: Bill Cordes (Saint Cloud)
Men’s 3.5 — 1st place: John Olcese (Lake Mary), 2nd place: Troy Beecher (Oakland)
Men’s 4.0 — 1st place: Eli Panell (Doral), 2nd place: Dennis Oliveira (Coral Springs)
Men’s 4.5 — 1st place: Jesse Rose (Orlando), 2nd place: Tyler Dunn (Orange Park)
Men’s 5.0 — 1st place: Alex Bose (Winter Haven), 2nd place: Felipe Alarcon (Pembroke Pines)
Doubles:
Women’s 4.0 — 1st place: Jennifer Wysocki (Saint Cloud)/Samantha Gonzalez (Davenport), 2nd place: Jennifer Carter (Orlando)/Jacqueline Harris (Jacksonville)
Women’s 4.5 — 1st place: Elizabeth McCafferty (Lutz)/Lisa Shelton (Lutz), 2nd place: Elissa Rizzi (Altamonte Springs)/Laura Savage (Windermere)
Men’s 4.0 — 1st place: Eddie White (Rockledge)/Kyle McLachlan (Indialantic), 2nd place: Ben Debrocke (Lithia)/Sebastian Graba (Ruskin)
