Day 1 Results: 2018 USTA Florida ‘Bobby Curtis’ Jr. State Tennis Championships

The opening day at the 70th USTA Florida “Bobby Curtis” Junior State Singles Championships kicked off on Saturday, with all boy’s and girls’ 18-12 divisions competing at the same site for the first time at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.

Upsets-wise it was one of the tamest starts in recent history as all 16 seeds came through the first round safely in the boys’ 18s, boys’ 14s and girls’ 12s divisions.

Divisions seeing the most upheaval were the girls’ 18s and boys’ 16s where three seeds each exited.
