Build or Renovate Tennis Courts with 2015 USTA Facility Assistance Program

General News

The USTA Facility Assistance Program can assist communities with building a new tennis facility, renovating or improving an existing one, building permanent 36-foot and 60-foot tennis courts, and adding 36-foot and 60-foot blended lines on existing tennis courts.

Last year Florida experienced a 236 percent increase in blended lines and permanent 36-foot and 60-foot courts.

“It is imperative that we continue encouraging tennis facility leaders to add blended lines to all of their existing courts as well as building 36-foot and 60-foot permanent courts,” says USTA Florida Foundation Executive Director Linda Curtis.

The USTA national body provided technical assistance at no cost to facilities and awarded more than $900,000 dollars in 2014.

New for 2015 will be an award for technical and financial assistance to colleges to equip facilities for optimal broadcast, streaming and other digital capabilities, with a maximum funding of $10,000.
