It was another exciting weekend of tennis at the USTA National Campus as the Combo 18 Men and Women’s Sectional Championship took place on January 21 through the 23.
For those that may not know, the Combo division adds a twist to how tennis is played. Each doubles pair must be within 0.5 of their NTRP ratings, and make sure, when added, it doesn’t exceed the level in which they have chosen to compete in.
Teams from across Florida gathered at the USTA National Campus for some tennis fun.
For example, in the 6.5 division, you can see a 3.0 player team up with a 3.5 player. This creates a different dynamic to the game and can be very fun to play.
At this championship, there was play in 6.5 and 8.5 divisions and there was plenty of excitement. Across the four draws in play, Broward County took home both of the Men’s divisions.
