Board of Directors Application for USTA Florida & USTA Florida Foundation Now Open

USTA Florida and the USTA Florida Foundation are now accepting applications for those that wish to serve on the Board of Directors. That’s right, you can lead the charge in helping make Florida tennis the best in the world! 

USTA Florida and the Section Foundation are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors with a wealth of experience, tremendous passion for sharing the love of tennis, and a big heart for helping people across the state of Florida. 

The organization is looking for people that want to lead the charge for either board in 2025 and 2026. Below is a step-by-step guide on how the application process works. 

• The application phase opens February 1 and closes March 3. 
• All submissions will be reviewed and those selected will be contacted for a virtual interview. This take place in the month of April. 
• Those selected for the USTA Florida Board will move onto a final interview, which takes place in person with the Nominating Committee between May 31 and June 1 in Bonita Springs.  
• Final Interviews for the USTA Florida Section Foundation Board of Directors will be conducted virtually in May. 
• It is important to note that candidates must hold these dates and be available for interviews should they make it to the final round.  
• The slate for both boards will be published on July 1 with it becoming final on July 21. 
• The 2025-2026 USTA Florida Board of Directors and Foundation Board of Directors will be introduced at the Virtual Annual Meeting of the Membership in November.
  

What qualifies you to be considered? All you need to do is be a member of USTA Florida, have knowledge of the Florida tennis landscape, and be passionate about developing the sport. 

There are 6 positions that are open for the USTA Florida Board and 5 for the USTA Florida Foundation Board. For the USTA Florida Board, applications are being accepted for President, Director at Large, Past President, Secretary, President-Elect, and Treasurer. 

For the USTA Florida Foundation Board, the positions are President, Vice President, Director, Secretary, and Treasurer. You can view a full list, with a link to the application, on the USTA Florida website.
