Opening weekend at the 2022 Delray Beach Open by VITACOST.com will feature big names and four sets of siblings competing on the courts.
US Open finalist Leylah Fernandez and six-time Delray Beach Open doubles champions Bob and Mike Bryan will take part in the event’s first-ever mixed doubles match on Sunday, Feb. 13. Bob will partner with Boynton Beach’s Fernandez while his twin brother Mike will team up with the US Open finalist’s 17-year-old sister Bianca.
The Bryans’ participation in the mixed doubles match will come after they return to Delray Beach to take part in the ATP Champions Tour event for the second time. They will be joined by another pair of brothers in Luke and Murphy Jensen along with James and Thomas Blake. Two former Delray Beach Open singles champions – two-time winner Jan-Michael Gambill and 2006 champion Tommy Haas – as well as former ATP stars Jesse Levine and Scoville Jenkins round out the field for the three-day ATP Champions Tour event.
The 10-day tennis event consisting of an ATP World Tour stop and an ATP Champions Tour event will return for its 30th edition Feb. 11-20, 2022, at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center in Delray Beach, Fla. The event will kick-off with an ATP Champions Tour team event on opening weekend (Feb. 11-13), followed by singles and doubles main draw action for the ATP 250 event on Monday, Feb. 14 leading up to the finals on Sunday, Feb. 20.
