2020 MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation Gala Going Virtual

You’re invited to attend an inspirational evening from the comfort of home! The MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation in Jacksonville, Fla., will host “A Night of Hope”, a virtual gala on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020, beginning at 7 p.m. on Facebook. 

The virtual gala will include messages from Founder MaliVai Washington and the Student-Athlete of the Year, a silent and live auction, and more. Special guests include former professional tennis player Lindsay Davenport, who will participate in a Q&A session. Throughout her career, Davenport was ranked World No. 1 for 98 weeks, won three Grand Slam titles and was a gold medalist at the 1996 Olympic Games. She was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2014.

The virtual gala will be live-streamed on the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation Facebook page. The event is free and no account is required to tune-in.

The MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation has provided after-school and summer youth development programs for more than two decades in the Durkeeville neighborhood of Jacksonville. The Foundation’s mission is to develop champions in classrooms, on tennis courts, and throughout communities. The MWYF is an official USTA Florida Community Tennis Association and member of the USTA National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) network.
